"Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groaning which cannot be uttered. . . .he maketh intecession for the saints according to the will of God" (Romans 8:26, 27). When we pray with sincerity of heart, even if imperfectly, God will transform our selfish prayers for our best good and for His glory. And in the long run, this is what we really want.
More than just transforming our prayers between earth and heaven, we want Him to transform us and teach us how to pray. We want His desires to become our desires and our desires to become His. And this is possible! "If we will consent, God can and will so identify us with Himself, so mold our thoughts and aims, that when obeying His will, we are only carrying out the impulse of our own minds."
