When God says, "I'm going to supply your need," He is saying, "I am going to do so according to my riches." In other words, everything I've got, you've got, and my riches are limitless. Thus, when I have a need, the Lord God of heaven brings all that heaven has to meet that need. He gives according to His riches. In other words, the source is inexhaustible. There's no end to it.
That means that when the things of this world dry up, we can still trust in the Lord and His riches toward us. The promise tells me that when the banks fold, when the oil is gone, when the jobs vanish, God's account will be just as full and sufficient as it is right now because it is a source that is inexhaustible, and it will never run dry. "And my God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus" Philippians 4:19.
