Jesus saw potential in a cheating tax collector, Zacchaeus. He saw potential in a hardened Roman soldier, a demon-possessed man and an adulteress. Jesus spent time with a loud-mouthed fisherman by the name of Peter, and a young thief who hung on the cross next to Him.
Jesus addressed men and women about salvation individually. Jesus saw them not as they were but as they might become when refined and ennobled by His grace. The Holy Spirit's power flowed through Jesus and touched other lives. Jesus saw the potential in each individual He met and when we allow the Holy Spirit to work with power within us, we too, will see their potential.
