We worry - a lot. Every day we uncover something new to be anxious about. Worry makes us forget who is in control. When I focus on myself, I worry and become anxious. Over time, I put my agenda before God's agenda for me. I become more concerned with preserving myself than pleasing Him. I may even find myself doubting God's judgment.
But God tells us that we have no need to worry. We are invited to shed all of our worries and give them to Jesus. We can then more freely serve and live for Him. What a blessing when we remember that "the LORD is my shepherd; I have all that I need" (Psalm 23:1, NLT).
