Troy Fitzgerald is the pastor for youth and evangelism at the Walla Walla College Church in College Place, Washington where he and his wife, Julie, and their two boys, Cameron and Morgan, reside.
He is also the founder and director of Leadout Ministries, an organization that serves churches and schools with leadership training and resource development, to empower young people, and those who are young at heart, to deepen a sense of ownership to the mission of the church.
In addition, Troy wrote Christwise, a series of resources on discipleship, as well the devotional Forty Days Wild. Troy has been working as a writer and consultant to the General Conference Sabbath School department at the as well as other organizations.
Troy has been a pastor and a teacher, as well as a coach, landscaper, ice cream scooper, a wanna-be-skater, and desert consultant. He holds a bachelors degree in theology, a master’s in education, as well as doctorate in leadership.
Troy enjoys hanging out with his family and romping through the woods with his sons looking for dangerous creatures to catch. He loves to play sports with his students and golf with his buddies. Relationships with people are his most treasured possession and he is deeply devoted to his church family. Troy enjoys traveling, speaking, and making new friends around the world.
Troy considers Australia to be his home away from home and continues to seek dual citizenship. He regularly takes medical/evangelism teams to Africa along with students. Troy loves to teach young people how to serve others, offering them a cup of cool water, as Christ commanded. He is terrible at building or fixing things around the house, but that never seems to discourage him from trying.
