Dwight Nelson has been senior pastor of Pioneer Memorial Church of Seventh-day Adventists on the campus of Andrews University, Berrien Springs, Michigan since 1983. He also serves as adjunct professor for homiletics at the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary.
Dwight received a master of divinity degree from Andrews University in 1976 and a doctor of ministry degree from the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary in 1986.
Dwight is the author of the 1995 Sharing Book of the Year, The Claim. He has also written Built to Last, Outrageous Grace, Countdown to Showdown, The Jesus Generation, A New Way to Pray, and The God-Forsaken God. In 1994 the Pioneer Memorial Church hosted ABC Televisionís National Christmas Eve Service, and Dwight was the speaker for the major evangelistic television/satellite outreach NET í98.
Dwight is married to Karen, a registered nurse. They have a son and a daughter.
